Lesedi Programme Students Graduate Despite COVID-19
Wednesday, September 23, 2020
For over 10 years the Peermont Community Benefit Trust, a CSI initiative of Emperors Palace, has funded many deserving young people, from Ekurhuleni, to complete artisan training through the Trust’s Lesedi Programme.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 10 learners successfully completed their trade tests recently, giving them a valuable qualification that will enable them to become economically active, either by finding a job or starting their own business.
Among these were learners at P & T Technology in Wadeville who completed their Electrical NQF Level 4 qualification as well as 20 months’ workplace experiential learning at Emperors Palace. Congratulations to Andrias Xaba of Buhle Park, Thembinkosi Msomi of Phumula, Romeo Sandile Thobela of Daveyton, Sylver Chicanisse of Katlehong as well as Lehlabile Mohlala, Siphosethu Pemba and Paulina Marakalala, all of Tembisa.
