World cruiserweight boxing star, Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena makes a welcome return to the ring at Emperors Palace on Saturday evening, March 26 but not as a cruiserweight. The Fourways boxer has his sights set on glory in the heavyweight ranks and will headline the “Heavyweight Mania” Box and Dine Tournament at the Palace of Dreams is his first foray into this division facing Romania’s Bogdan Dinu for the vacant WBA Inter-Continental Heavyweight title.

Joining Lerena (third left) in the tournament in March will be Jami Webb (left) of Kuilsrivier in the Cape who will take on Shervantaigh Koopman (second left) of Primrose for the SA Junior Middleweight title while SA Heavyweight champion, Juan Roux (second right) of Durbanville will defend his title against Joshua Pretorius (right) of Richards Bay. With them is the East Rand Resort and Casino’s Entertainment and Marketing Manager, Irvin Nkosi of Modderfontein who attended the bill announcement on Tuesday, January 25.
