Emperors Palace’s Christmas Village Experience Returns
Popular Holiday Experience Is Bigger And Better,
With More Lights And Activities To Keep Young And Old Enthralled.

Emperors Palace in Kempton Park is excited to announce the return of their latest family holiday event: the Christmas Village at Emperors Palace. Debuting in 2022 this multi-functional village winter wonderland entertained families and welcomed over 100 000 guests during the holiday season.
The Christmas Village will return in December, but this time it promises to be bigger and better.
‘Last year’s Christmas Village was a huge success,’ says Complex Operations Executive Clive Tavener. ‘We had a great turnout, but we also listened to our guests and made some significant changes that will make it even more spectacular than last year. We’re talking more lights, different layout, extended times and many more characters and activities.’
The Christmas Village at Emperors Palace remains on Level 5 of the covered parking area at the resort and will once again be transformed into a holiday wonderland that will delight guests of all ages. Visitors will be welcomed by an upgraded Tunnel of Lights with even more twinkling bulbs and further added elements to create an immersive experience. ‘ We have done a 180 degree turn on the layout this year, creating three sections of wonder before reaching the retail stalls where a host of new vendors will offer some really special holiday products,’ says Tavener.
Once exiting the Tunnel of Lights, guests will have multiple avenues to wander through the Enchanted Light Forest decorated with hundreds of new lights and home to the beautiful Snow Queen, The Nutcracker Castle, Model Village and breathtaking Butterfly Garden. Next on the journey guests will explore the Storybook Fantasyland, where magical tales and folklore come to life from large books, amongst the enchanted carousels and charming fable characters. And don’t forget Santa Claus, who will be in attendance, ready to hear everyone’s Christmas wishes. Finally, guests will experience the Christmas Village retail area full of old favourites and many new stalls offering the finest in holiday gifts, snacks and drinks.
‘We’ve structured this year’s Christmas Village to offer maximum value for money, and guarantee fun for the whole family. I’m sure no one will be disappointed,’ concludes Tavener. The Palace of Dreams has again partnered with Imagineering Corporation, who have conceptualised, organised and implemented some of the biggest and most successful public and corporate events in South Africa over the past 45 years. In the past they have partnered with leading brands such as Disney, Vodacom, World Bank and Sun International.
Tickets for The Christmas Village will go on sale in September via TicketPro. Visiting sessions will be extended this year to 90 minute slots, starting from 16h00. The new Christmas Village will open on 1 December and run through to the 31 December 2023.
