Peermont Foundation 2025 Bursary Application

Peermont’s Education Trust has opened bursary applications for 2025. This forms part of the socio-economic mandate by providing Financial Assistance to the youth within the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area. Through the Peermont Education Trust, the foundation invites applications for the prestigious bursary to study at tertiary institutions in Gauteng.

Peermont is dedicated to supporting youth development through its bursary programme. The company provides financial assistance to students in need, aiming to help them access higher education and achieve their career goals. This initiative reflects Peermont’s commitment to investing in the future of young people by removing barriers to educational opportunities and fostering talent within the community. The Trust is offering bursaries to the City of Ekurhuleni youth, who permanently reside in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area, to pursue FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE studies in their chosen field.

The Bursary covers Accommodation, Tuition and registration fees, prescribed books and/or study material. THE TRUST NO LONGER SPONSOR STUDIES IN MEDICINE.

Selection criteria:

  • Bursary selection will be strictly on academic excellence and financial need.
  • The bursary is for a selected study programme of no less than one year.
  • The bursary is renewable annually, based on academic results.
  • Applicants must have an admission to a Tertiary Institution. It is the student’s responsibility to seek admission with a tertiary institution.
  • Applicants are expected to study at an accredited tertiary institution in Gauteng only.

All applications must be accompanied by copies of:

  • South African ID (certified).
  • A full academic record including the latest available results.
  • Official Matric/NSC results if you have completed Grade 12.
  • Grade 11 results and June 2024 report card for students currently in Gr 12 (Grade 12 results to be submitted once received)
  • Proof of residence in Ekurhuleni.
  • Proof of income: The combined annual household income will be a critical consideration in the selection process. It is essential that proof of income for both parents (if applicable) be provided.

Proof of income can be:

  1. Salary or wage slips of the parent(s) or guardian(s)
  2. An affidavit from the parent(s) or guardian(s) stating that they are unemployed or self-employed. If they are self-employed, the affidavit must state their annual income.
  3. Death certificate(s) if parent(s) are deceased.
