Qalabotjha Transport Launches at Emperors Palace

Peermont’s Emperors Palace in Kempton Park is investing in entrepreneurship by launching a new enterprise development programme. Qalabotjha Transport (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned transport and shuttle services business which operates daily from the Palace of Dreams.

Qalabotjha Transport is the creation of former Unicab employees (operating out of Emperors Palace) Beauty Sefara and Dovhani Tshitena. ‘Qalabotjha Transport specializes in airport and private transfers, and shuttle services for individuals as well as group bookings. Our mission is being punctual, knowledgeable and passionate, ensuring that our guests have a truly memorable experience in Gauteng and the surroundings,’ says Sefara who serves as Transport Manager and co-owner, and joined Emperors Palace in 2018 as a Travel Consultant. ‘We deeply value our relationship with all our Clients and we are committed in providing you with the highest level of service simply because our customers deserve the very best.’

Qalabotjha Transport is equipped with a fleet of new vehicles, consisting of four Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, three luxury Mercedes-Benz C200s and 2 VW Kombis. ‘We offer guests with our legendary complimentary shuttle service that runs daily, Monday to Sunday. Our route is between Emperors Palace and OR Tambo International Airport every 30 minutes from 07h00 - 22h00, in line with business levels on complex and peak hours. Shuttles will be equipped with trailers as all times and we also operate chauffeur driver services to all hotels at Emperors Palace upon request. If a Private transfer is required, guests are more than welcome to contact us for a booking and confirmation,’ explains Fleet Manager and co-owner Dovhani Tshitena, who has a 19-year pedigree at Emperors Palace, starting as a chauffeur in 2004. Qalabotjha Transport is also available to the general public who need fast and efficient transport services.

Emperors Palace has always prided itself on it Corporate social Investment initiatives, and one pillar is entrepreneurial Development, which focuses on financially supporting small and micro enterprises and self-help projects which uplift the socio-economic status of marginalised beneficiaries. Qalabotjha Transport employs a further ten members to the team consisting of nine drivers and a Tour Guide who assists us with day tours and trips.

The company's growth will be measured by an expanded customer base, and ultimately expansion of offices, facilities and employees.
